After re-working the front roll center and spring rate, the Wild Bobcat is getting better. Still a long way to go.  This photo was taken in a fairly fast left-hander. Notice the right front is not tucking under, and the car has minimal body roll.

It spit the head gasket late in the day.

Here are a couple of shots of last year's set up.

Pretty cool.  Is it competitive? (I assume that you're running against much more modern iron.)

Its getting there, but a long way to go.  I don't race much so its hard to justify all the work I still need to do.  The good part of running it the way it used to be was it made the driver THINK about every detail in driving.  This might have helped me place 3rd (of 25) in our season runoffs.

Third, uh?  That's pretty damn competitive.  Any pics of the engine?  Or is there another thread somewhere>

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

Just your standard 2.3 jammed into it with NO reguard for cosmetics.

Our club 'run-offs' are done with all the class winners driving the same car.  Last year it was a MR2.

Update: Installing a panhard bar (can you say Folvo?), and some "kind-a cal-tracks" that are "sort-of factory Ford" (hint: NOT Pinto parts).   Can't make it any handle any worse!! (should fix some of the problems I have been having)    With the rear springs being fairly soft and the car so LOW, it was jamming the pinoin yoke flange into the tunnel HARD (making a NASTY banging like the rear was coming off the car).  Should do better now.

I will be swapping to a manual/power rack soon.  The power racks have a 'quicker' ratio and that it NEEDS!!

Got the panhard bar in LATE last night.  The rack swap is next, followed by a repair for the tranny mount.
